meet Sherry Mae Calcagno

The artist behind the easel & the parties

With a lifelong passion for art, I have a diverse creative practice spanning multiple mediums. Since opening my first Etsy shop in 2012—where I specialized in mosaic stepping stones and pet portraits—I have expanded my artistic repertoire to include sewing, quilting, jewelry making, and painting. My current focus is on watercolor and acrylic painting, characterized by bold, vibrant colors and expressive, loose brushstrokes that reflect the evolution of my style over the years.

My original artwork is showcased and sold through various channels: directly from my studio, my website, Etsy, local craft fairs, and community events in San Leandro. I also proudly contribute to nonprofit organizations and offer commissioned and custom work tailored to individual clients’ needs.

Sherry Mae Designs Studio, located inside Christian Life Church at 1699 Orchard Avenue, San Leandro, CA 94577, serves as both a creative hub and a ministry dedicated to enriching and engaging the local community through art. Through this space, I provide guided painting experiences and creative gatherings that inspire connection, creativity, and joy.
